"The Legend of Aditya Hrudayam": "During the fierce battle between Lord Rama and Ravana, Ravana was relentlessly attacking with his mystical powers and a vast army. Having fought for a long time, Lord Rama, in his human form, experienced moments of mental fatigue and exhaustion. Observing Rama’s state from the heavens, the deities requested Sage Agastya to intervene and bestow upon Rama a powerful secret hymn that would ensure victory.
Sage Agastya approached Lord Rama and said, 'O Rama! I shall initiate you into a supreme, holy, and eternal prayer that destroys all enemies and guarantees victory.' This was the most powerful 'Aditya Hrudaya Stotram'. After performing Achamana (ceremonial sipping of water) three times and meditating upon the Sun God, Lord Rama recited the hymn as instructed by the Sage. Instantly, his despondency vanished, and he was infused with boundless energy and enthusiasm. Shortly thereafter, he defeated Ravana and emerged victorious.
When the Sun is weakly placed in an individual's horoscope or when one faces obstacles from enemies, chanting the Aditya Hrudayam yields miraculous results."
